Welcome to Faire la Bise! Faire la Bise actually means 'to kiss hello'. It is a gesture practiced in France. French family and friends exchange kisses on alternating cheeks when they meet up or say goodbye. Two people introduced by a mutual friend may also faire la bise, especially kids and young adults, but never strangers.
